Lehigh Valley holds spring 2022 commencement ceremony

Penn State Lehigh Valley held its spring 2022 commencement ceremony Saturday, May 7. A total of 120 students completed their associate or bachelor’s degree during the academic year. Of those, 92 walked at the ceremony on the campus grounds, which was presided over by Chancellor Tina Q. Richardson and Director of Academic Affairs Anibal Torres Bernal.

Lehigh Valley art students collaborate on chalk mandala project

Penn State Lehigh Valley students in Associate Teaching Professor of Arts Administration Elizabeth Flaherty’s Intersections Between Art and Psychology course collaborated on a chalk mandala created on the campus grounds. The initiative was led by student Angi Sayid for her final research project.

Lehigh Valley SGA president receives award from student government council

Penn State Lehigh Valley Student Government Association President Matt Cascioli’s dedication to the campus was recently recognized by the University-wide Council of Commonwealth Student Governments with the Dwayne A. Hilton Illumination Award, given to a campus SGA president who goes above and beyond expectations in their role as an advocate for their campus.

Former federal agent to guide Lehigh Valley’s new Criminal Justice program

After serving as a full-time lecturer at Penn State Berks for the past six years, Debra Dreisbach was recently hired to be the program coordinator for Penn State Lehigh Valley's new Criminal Justice program. Prior to her career in academia, Dreisbach spent 25 years in federal law enforcement, serving as a special agent with the Office of Inspector General, FBI and Secret Service.

Renowned scholar returns to Lehigh Valley for timely lecture on Ukraine, COVID

Internationally recognized scholar Marijana Grbeša Zenzerović of the University of Zagreb in Croatia recently returned to Penn State Lehigh Valley to deliver the lecture "Communication in Times of Crisis: A Critical Take on the Pandemic and War in Ukraine." Grbeša Zenzerović served as the campus’ first visiting scholar and professor during the fall 2018 semester.
